Horsepower Chosen to Advance to Global Finals in the 1776 Challenge Cup Competition in Washington D.C

The Philippine startup Horsepower, who won at the 1776 local startup competition organized by Young Entrepreneurs Society last December 1, will advance to the 1776 Global Finals at Washington D.C after they were chosen as one of the five winners from East Asian Challenge Cup Regional in Tokyo, Japan last February 25.

The five winning startups were chosen from hundreds of competitors from cities across the region; now move on to represent their countries on the worldwide stage at the Challenge Cup Global Finals in Washington, D.C. taking place in June.

Horsepower is a FinTech startup company that empowers self-employed freelancers and small to medium-sized enterprises with the following services: bill payments, online government contributions, co-working spaces, healthcare plans, insurance plans, accounting, and more.

The other winners are DOT Incorporation from South Korea, Molcure from Japan, Pickatale from China and SKOOTAR from Thailand.

Challenge Cup is an annual global tournament spanning over 50 cities and covering every continent, to find, fund and spotlight highly-scalable startups with potentially transformative solutions our world’s most pressing challenges.
